Our Founder's Story
I believe the earth and everyone on it is worth fighting for. I believe the forests and oceans and the millions of species big and small are worth fighting for.
I was fortunate to see twenty five countries on five continents by the age of ten. We weren't wealthy. We were often in tents and camper vans.
From the Grand Canyon to walking through glaciers in Europe to watching all the animals a kid could dream about in Africa… when you see and have friends on most continents from an early age, the world gets small, and fast.
Seeing that glacier largely melt in my lifetime has been sobering. Systems change and every individual action to counter the climate crisis is the only way forward. For this beautiful rock we call home — for the friends and future generations — creating tools to help people make better choices for the planet is what drives me. And we still have time.
To quote Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, "What if we get it right?"
I don't know of anything that's more important.

We've watched the world ravaged by our self-inflicted climate change. A world where one million species are threatened with extinction by 2050 for the sake of one. And to see that glacier largely melt in my lifetime — if I can create tools to bring awareness and help others make better choices the planet, I'm going to do it.
